  • (1/4 tsp.) vanilla extract
  • (1/4 cup) Cointreau or other orange liqueur



Warm Pears in Orange Syrup

Fresh Bosc pears simmered until sweet and served with a vanilla-orange syrup.

  1. 1In a large saucepan, cover pears with water by 1 inch. Add sugar and place over High heat. Once boiling, cook until reduced (could take as long as 1 hour).
  2. 2Take off heat, add vanilla. Set aside to cool. When warm, add liqueur, stir and serve.
