  • (1/2 tsp.) salt
  • (1/4 tsp.) ground black pepper

  • (1/8 tsp.) garlic powder
  • (1/8 tsp.) ground chipotle chile pepper
  • (1 1/4 lb.) pork tenderloin, trim fat
  • (1 tsp.) extra-virgin olive oil
  • (2 Tbsp.) honey
  • (1 Tbsp.) minced garlic
  • (1 1/2 tsp.) hot-pepper sauce



Spice Rubbed Pork w/Honey Glaze

A juicy pork tenderloin that is high is flavor but low in calories.

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. 2In a small bowl, combine the cumin, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, allspice, garlic powder and chipotle pepper.
  3. 3Coat the pork tenderloin in olive oil, then the spice mixture.
  4. 4Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. 5In a small bowl, mix the honey, garlic and hot-pepper sauce.
  6. 6Spray both a small and large skillet with cooking spray. Set aside the small skillet and heat the large over medium high heat.
  7. 7Cook the pork for 1 minute per side, or until browned on all sides, then move to the small skillet.
  8. 8Baste the pork with the entire honey mixture.
  9. 9Roast the pork in the oven for about 18 minutes, or until it reaches about 160°F.
  10. 10Remove from oven and let cool, then slice and serve.
