  • (2 1/2 cups) water
  • (1 cup) sugar
  • Orange rind strips from 2 oranges
  • (2 2/3 cups) fresh orange juice
  • (1/3 cup) fresh lemon juice
  • Grated orange rind (optional)
  • Mint sprigs (optional)



Orange Lemon Sorbet

A refreshing blend of orange and lemon in a delicious frozen sorbet.

Preparation Time

About 5 minutes (plus 1.5 hrs freezing)

Cook Time

About 10 minutes


  1. 1Place a medium saucepan over High heat to boil. Add 2 1/2 cups water and sugar. When boiling, add rind strips, then reduce heat to medium-high and simmer 5 minutes.
  2. 2Strain over a bowl and set aside to cool.
  3. 3When cool, combine juices with sugar. Pour into an ice cream freezer and freeze accordingly. Transfer into a freezer-safe container with lid, freeze 1 hour. Serve with grated orange and a spring of mint.
