Ingredients:
  • (1/4 cup) water
  • (1/4 cup) skim milk
  • (1 Tbsp.) quinoa
  • (1/2 small) banana, sliced
  • (1 1/2 Tbsp.) rolled oats
  • (1 Tbsp.) oat bran
  • Salt
  • Ground cinnamon
  • (1 Tbsp.) walnuts, chopped
  • (1 tsp.) brown sugar
  • (1/4 tsp.) vanilla extract

Boiled quinoa with bananas, oats and walnuts flavored with brown sugar and vanilla.

    Instructions

  1. 1Place a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add water, milk and quinoa. When boiling, reduce heat and simmer on low 5 minutes.
  2. 2Add banana, oats, oat bran, a pinch of salt and cinnamon. Cook 2-5 minutes, stirring often.
  3. 3Take off the heat and add walnuts, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir to combine and serve.
