Ingredients:
  • (1 Tbsp.) Dijon mustard
  • (4 slices) whole wheat bread
  • (2 slices) reduced-fat Swiss cheese
  • (4 slices) deli turkey
  • (1/2 cup) egg substitute
  • (1/2 cup) fat-free milk
  • (1 tsp.) confectioners’ sugar
  • (2 Tbsp.) apple butter

Grilled Monte Cristos

Dijon turkey and swiss sandwiches coated in egg and grilled until crispy.

Preparation Time

    Instructions

  1. 1Spray a griddle with cooking spray and
    preheat.
  2. 2Top each slice of bread with mustard. Top two slices evenly with cheese and turkey, sandwich together. Whisk together egg substitute and milk in a shallow dish. Coat both sides with egg mixture, place in skillet.
  3. 3Cook 2-3 minutes, flip and cook another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown and toasted.
  4. 4Serve sandwiches with confectioners sugar over top and apple butter on the side. Enjoy!
