  • (2 1/2 cups) red grape juice, divided
  • (1 envelope) unflavored gelatin
  • Mint sprigs (optional)



Fruity Red Granita

A fresh and fruity red grape granita served with mint.

Preparation Time

About 2 minutes (plus 2 hrs freezing)

About 5 minutes


  1. 1Place a medium saucepan over low heat. Add 1/2 cup grape juice and gelatin, stir until gelatin dissolves. Take off the heat and add 2 cups grape juice.
  2. 2Transfer into an 8×8 in. baking pan and freeze until almost firm, about 1 hour.
  3. 3Break up mixture and process it in a food processor until it looks like crushed ice. Place back in pan and freeze until firm. Serve each scoop with a sprig of mint and enjoy!
