  • (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • (12 oz.) boneless skinless chicken breast halves, thinly sliced
  • (1) onion, thinly sliced
  • (1) green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • (1 tsp.) dried oregano
  • (1/4 tsp.) crushed redpepper flakes
  • (3 cloves) garlic, thinly sliced
  • (2 tsp.) worcestershire sauce
  • (1/4 tsp.) salt
  • (2 oz.) shredded 50% reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese
  • (8 oz.) French baguette, split lengthwise



Chicken Philly

A hearty French baguette filled with cheesy sauteed onions, bell peppers and sliced chicken.

  1. 1Place a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 Tbsp. oil. When hot, add chicken and cook 4-5 minutes, stirring every so often. Set aside on a plate.
  2. 2Place skillet back over heat and add 2 Tbsp. oil. When hot, add onion, bell pepper, oregano and red-pepper flakes. Cook 8-9 minutes, stirring every so often.
  3. 3Add garlic, cook another minute. Stir in chicken, Worcestershire sauce, and salt, cook another minute. Take off heat, add cheese.
  4. 4Spoon onto baguette, quarter and serve.
