  • (1 1/2 Tbsp.) unsalted butter, melted
  • (1/2 tsp.) salt
  • (1/4 tsp.) fresh-ground black pepper
  • (6 large) eggs, cold



Boiled Eggs w/Buttered Toast

Buttered bread sprinkled with salt and pepper, baked until crispy and cut into strips, served alongside classic boiled eggs.

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. 2Top bread with 1/2 the butter, 1/2 the salt and pepper. Place butter-side down on baking sheet and top with remaining butter, salt and pepper. Bake 6 minutes, turning once.
  3. 3Meanwhile, place 3 inches water into a medium saucepan and place over High heat. When boiling, gently spoon eggs into water, cover and remove from heat. Set aside 5 minutes.
  4. 4Cut toast into 3/4 in. strips. Remove eggs from water, slice off tops and serve.
